The more information that comes out about Diablo 3, the more I worry what the final game will be like. Over on the Battlenet forums, one of the devs posted on the current death mechanic. Not many details, but enough to cause concern.
Over at rockpapershotgun, they have some demands. Demands on ten things every PC game should have. Some don’t concern me, some I agree with, and some others…
A short time back, over at cinemablend, Pete Haas wrote a piece on why RPGs are disappointing. One of his peeves was “slow beginnings”.

Over at a blog called “Out Of Mana”, Megan has a post on what could be called “a fate worse than death”. For the hero, of course.
One of my gaming conventions (I won’t say peculiarities) is to give the same name to the same class from one game to the next. Maybe it helps me remember what they are. Maybe I’m just uncreative. But it’s been going on for so long now, I just can’t stop.
We all know about games that fall behind schedule, that run over budget, that have inadequate testing time. Maybe some companies ask too much of their game producers.
We had some tech problems last night, and I couldn’t get in to post. So the one below is actually for yesterday. Apologies to anyone who had trouble last evening (and no, I don’t know what happened; likely a server hang).
