…well, ya know, we’d all love to see the plan. I don’t believe in making resolutions myself. Over at Destructoid, though, Jim Sterling has a (dare I say it?) list of 26 New Year’s resolutions for the game industry.
Along with lists, this time of year brings combinations of retrospectives on the past year and looks ahead to the future. The BBC has one up on their site, with comments from several designers.
Among the plethora of lists inundating game sites these days, one I found interesting was the “disappointment” compilation. Games that didn’t measure up, games that weren’t released, etc.
The most played online, that is. Nielsen, the company that seems to be monitoring everything these days (TV just wasn’t enough), has just released their “Most Played PC Games” list. This covers the period January to October of 2008.
Awhile back, in Wii Is Dangerous, I reported that some British doctors are expecting more Wii-related injuries this holiday. However, you don’t need to be careless or over-enthusiastic with a Wii to hurt yourself playing a game.
So it’s the day after Christmas. Everyone’s unwrapped (or ripped open) their gifts. Was Santa good to you this year? Did you get any neat games? Did you even get a game? What (gamewise) was under your tree? And if you didn’t get anything game-related, why not?
Have a great day, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. And in either case, I hope Santa brought you everything you wanted, especially games! And I get another day off! Yay!!
We know GOG is bringing back some of the great early games. But what about the early early games? From, say, the dark ages. The 1980s.
