Darindel has clawed his way up to level 30 (no easy task) and down to dungeon level 30. The game is becoming a real slog now.
MMOGs come and go, and tomorrow (2/28/09), Tabula Rasa is going. The usual routine is to broadcast a farewell message in-game and then shut down the servers. TR, however, is going out with a bang.
Moving right along, Good Old Games is expanding its catalogue with the addition of games from Apogee Software. The first one available is Duke Nukem 3D, for the low, low price of $5.99.
For years, gamers, game mags, and journalists have been saying it’s stupid for companies to all put their releases out at the same time, usually Christmas. Is it finally starting to penetrate?
When we think of those “old time” adventure games, naturally Infocom comes to mind. But for graphic adventures, the king was Sierra. Over at gunaxin.com, Ben has a list of Sierra’s products, and it’s impressive.
In a typical RPG, the tougher the opponent, the more experience it’s worth. This does not seem to hold true in ZTK. At least not by my reckoning.
Well, that was quick. Much faster than the demo portion in the previous game. Then again, there were far fewer areas to visit. Verbose mentioned in his comments to my earlier post that Jeff seems to be cutting back on his demos, and it certainly seems that way here.
Yes, Geneforge 5 Windows version came out a little sooner than anyone expected. Even Jeff ;). It’s been available since last Thursday (2/19), but I waited a few days to be sure there were no major problems with the release. So far, it looks to be clean, so I grabbed it this morning.
