Following on the heels of its successful World Wide Invitational last month, Blizzard will hold its third annual Blizzcon in Anaheim, California on October 10-11. It won’t be cheap.

Tickets will cost $100 each, and go on sale August 11th. That sounds rather pricey to me, figuring how much they rake in from WoW alone. And you can be sure that some (maybe many) of those tickets will be showing up on eBay.

But hey, maybe you can’t make the trip. Maybe $100 sounds like a bit too much, not even counting travel and hotel costs. No problem. If you happen to have DIRECTV, you can watch a good portion of the event from the comfort of your home.

Provided you don’t mind coughing up some cash, because it will be a pay-per-view event. How much hasn’t been mentioned yet. We can only hope it won’t be in the $100 range.

What’s that? You don’t have DIRECTV? No problem. In August, they’ll be running a special offer: get the service, and you can watch Blizzcon for free. Such a deal!

Y’know, sometimes I think they should give that poor cow a rest now and then.
