Yes, the government has finally gotten around to looking at the matter of DRM in games. Whether that’s good or not, I don’t know.

You always worry a little when Uncle Sam starts poking his nose into things; you never know what will come of it. In any case, the FTC will be holding a Town Hall about DRM on March 25th, 2009, in Seattle.

They are now requesting comments from the public in regard to DRM. A form is available on their website; they will also take comments by regular mail. Commenting is open until January 30th, 2009.

So, if you have a few things to say about DRM, now is the time. This may be more productive than just ranting somewhere in public. Maybe. Read the form carefully first, though; because whatever you put in will become public information.
