I caught a notice earlier that Infogrames, the French game company, has some big financial problems.

They are trying to restructure their finances. For this, they need stockholder approval, and Infogrames isn’t getting it. They’ve tried twice and failed both times. A third meeting is scheduled for Nov. 15th. Right now, their stock price is about 40 cents.

What’s the big deal? Infogrames owns 51% of Atari, and we know the deep waters that company is wallowing in right now. Should Infogrames go under, it’s likely there won’t be much of a future for Atari.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the situation, since it will probably have an impact on Neverwinter 2. Things seem to be looking worse all the time here.
