Yes, apparently, if you’re dedicated enough, you can indeed trim some pounds by using the Wii. One player, “Rocky Stairs”, did just that over the holiday season.

He was quite conscientious about it, too. For a period of six weeks, without changing his eating habits or activity level otherwise, he played 30 minutes on his Wii every day.

The net result? He lost nine pounds. Keep in mind, he was really putting himself into this, not just flicking his wrist.

I can just imagine someone taking this and starting a new health club franchise, with exercises based on the Wii games. It would sure be less boring than what goes on in such places right now.
